Stan Stokes. Nicknamed the "Flying Tank," the Ilyushin IL-2 Sturmovik included integral armor protection for its water-cooled engine and two-man crew. More than 35,000 of these ground attack aircraft were built during WWII, and here we see a pair in their primary role: attacking German ground targets. This 16"x 11½" print is signed by the artist.
