A compact car first introduced in 1962, the Chevy Nova saw five generations of vehicles that were manufactured off and on until 1988. Part of the nameplate's third generation, the 1970 release was essentially the same as the 1969 model, though the name was finally simplified: instead of being the Chevy II Nova or the Chevrolet Chevy Nova, it was simply the Chevrolet Nova.
