Using side stick controllers and a glass cockpit, the A320 was the world's first airliner to conduct digital fly-by-wire controls. In order to prevent pilots from exceeding safe flight limits, it included "flight envelope protection" software. This aircraft's design led to the A318, A319, and A321 derivatives. This 1/200 scale, die cast model features photo-etched metal antennae, pad-printed windows and doors, "sharklet" wingtips, and a display stand. 7½" long.
