AMAZING M-4 SHERMAN TANK - DVD
2nd Film: War on Wheels. Somewhere in the Mojave desert the US Army was training soldiers to fight in desert landscape. This became useful when the US Army had to fight in the North Africa conflict. Runtime 25 minutes
> 3rd Film: M-4 Rocket launcher, dozer and hedge cutter. There were so many uses for the M-4 medium tank that the troops figured out how to adapt the M-4 by putting a rocket launcher on top, plus, using a dozer blade attached on the front of the tank to clear debris in conquered towns during WW2. Lastly, The French farm had 6 ft hedge on the side of the roads were Germans used to ambush our troops. So the U.S. troops invented the hedge cutter and welded surplus steel on the front of the M-4 as hedge cutters to bust through these barriers. It worked great. Runtime 15 minutes.
4th Film: The DD M-4 Sherman The idea was to make the M-4 Sherman to float at D-Day invasion by putting a canvas haul around the top. It kind of worked but the seas were so rough on D-Day, many just sunk. Runtime 7 minutes
5th Film; M-4 Sherman in Action. Many scenes of the amazing M-4 in action during WW2. Runtime 22 minutes.
6th Film: The Firefly M-4 The M-4 had a 75mm short barrel and was not very effective against the German tanks, The British saw this and invented the 17 pounder artillery canon which adapted to the Sherman tank, aka the Firefly. It worked great and the Germans feared the longer barrel Sherman, Runtime 10 minutes.
7th Film: M-4 Sherman Tank in Korea. A short story. All Shermans were fitted with the 17 pound cannon in Korea and widely used. Runtime 10 minutes.
8th Film: M-4 Newsreels. A collection of film clips of the M-4 Sherman. Runtime 10 minutes.
