The Enola Gay, perhaps the most legendary military aircraft in history, was a B-29 Superfortress manufactured in May of 1945. Flown by Colonel Paul Tibbets, who named it after his mother, the bomber dropped the first ever nuclear weapon (the "Little Boy") over Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945.

A historic replica of the iconic bomber, this 1/144 scale, Air Force 1 Model Company, die cast model — which includes a 1/60 scale reproduction of the "Little Bomb" nuclear bomb — features that aircraft's signature nose art, realistic panel lines, a simulated canopy, rotating propellers, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 8¼" long with an 11¾" wingspan.
