Specifically deployed by the U.S. Coast Guard, the Hu-16e Albatross variant had the original large amphibious flying boat design with a deep-V hull section and longer airframe. This version was modified slightly by lengthening the wingspan and changing its computer systems. Every year, pilots can renew their type ratings for the Albatross at Boulder City, Nevada. This 1/72 scale replica is handcrafted of fine mahogany wood, and includes a wooden display stand. 16¼" wingspan.
