Used during the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, the M60A1 (MBT) was kept in operation by the U.S. Marines despite the Army's new re-equipped M1 Abrams. The U.S. Marines explained to the U.S. Congress House Committee on Appropriations that the M60A1 wasn't near the end of its life expectancy and they didn't want to keep acquiring updated versions of the Abrams. This M60 has one of eight MERDC (Mobility Equipment Research and Development Center) camouflage paint schemes. 5½" long.
This 1/72 scale, Hobby Master, die cast replica, as it appeared in the Marines during the 1980s, features authentic markings and hand-painted detail, weathering, a movable metal turret, a main gun, realistic tracks, and a display base.
