Operating with the U.S. Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force during the height of the Cold War, the McDonnell F-101 Voodoo was a bomber escort (or "penetration fighter") introduced in May of 1957. It was one of the fastest jets of the era, setting numerous world speed records, traveling 1,207 miles per hour on December 12, 1957. The aircraft's reconnaissance variant (the RF-101) was instrumental during the Cuban Missile Crisis and saw extensive service during the Vietnam War. The "B" variant was a two-seat interceptor and the most common variant in the series. The Voodoo was retired from service during the 1980s.

Made by Hobby Master, this 1/72 scale, die cast replica of an F-101B — sporting authentic markings from the 116th FIS in the 1970s — features realistic panel lines, detailed turbojet engines, a sliding canopy, a well-equipped cockpit including panel instrumentation, two removable pilot figures, full weapons complement, optional-position landing gear, and a stylish presentation stand. Measures approximately 11¼" long with a 6¾" wingspan.
