With more than 15,000 units manufactured, it was readily available to numerous Allied nations and was flown by the U.S., U.K., France, and Russia, in addition to various militaries after World War II. The "D" variant was the most popular model, featuring an evolution of upgrades over the years that saw a total of more than 12,000 ultimately built.
