About Bud Anderson's "Old Crow"
Flying "Old Crow" on 66 combat missions across two tours, Anderson never once had to abort a mission and, remarkably, was never hit by enemy fire, scoring 111/4 aerial victories in the process. The multi-role P-51 Mustang, of which more than 15,000 were built across all variants, helped the Allies secure air superiority over the Luftwaffe in the final years of World War II.
