Following the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860, the state of South Carolina organized a frenzied convention that led in December to its formal secession from the United States of America — triggering, of course, the Civil War. This polyester flag represents that which flew in the state as a symbol of its secession from the Union. Includes brass grommets. 5'x 3'.
