The T-38 Talon is a twin-engine, high-performance jet trainer developed by Northrop in the late 1950s. It was the first supersonic trainer aircraft and remains in service with the U.S. Air Force and other air forces worldwide. Designed primarily for advanced pilot training, the T-38 offers a realistic training experience, simulating the performance characteristics of operational fighter aircraft. With a sleek, delta-wing design and a top speed of Mach 1.2, it is highly maneuverable and capable of performing a variety of aerobatic maneuvers. The aircraft is powered by two J85 turbojet engines, providing excellent acceleration and agility. Its cockpit features tandem seating, allowing instructors to guide students during training flights. The T-38 has been used to train generations of pilots, including those who flew on high-performance aircraft such as the F-16 and F-22.
