The Ford Thunderbird entered production in 1955 as a sporty two-seat convertible and created the market niche eventually known as the personal luxury car. This finely detailed 1/18 scale, die cast metal model of that car features a hood that opens to reveal a realistic engine, a fully outfitted interior with a working steering wheel and glazed windows, a removable hardtop, opening doors, glazed headlight lenses and plenty of simulated chrome, an opening trunk, free-rolling wheels with treaded rubber tires, an authentic paint scheme and badging, and more. Measures 9½" long and includes a removable display base.
