About the 1958 Apache
Chevrolet's Task Force truck line debuted in 1955. The 1958 facelift added quad headlamps and introduced the smooth-sided "Fleetside" cargo box, styled after the Cameo Carrier, as an alternative to the traditional stepside bed — the first time Chevy offered a flush-fendered pickup box.
