The only mass-produced American vehicle to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine, the Corvair — whose name is a mashup of "Corvette" and "Bel Air" — was a compact car manufactured by Chevrolet throughout the 1960s. The 1969 release, the nameplate's last, saw a total of 6,000 produced, though it was discontinued for the more highly demanded Chevy Nova.

This 1/18 scale, die cast model is a replica of a black '69 Corvair Monza convertible featuring a finely cast body, an opening front-side trunk (revealing a spare tire), an opening rear-side engine hood (with a detailed engine below), a glazed windshield, opening doors, a well-equipped green interior (with bucket seating and a shifter), real-working steering, a realistic undercarriage, authentic badging, plenty of simulated chrome, and treaded rubber tires. Measures approximately 10½" long.
