In celebration of Benjamin Franklin's 300th birthday, the U.S. Mint issued two different silver dollar designs in 2006 — one paying tribute to his services as a scientist and the other his stature as a Founding Father. This proof version of the "Founding Father" coin features Franklin on the obverse and the words "Continental Currency" on the reverse. 90% silver. 38mm diameter.
