Take advantage of the rare opportunity to own commemorative artwork signed by the crew of a legendary U.S. Navy battleship!

Stan Stokes. First commissioned in March of 1916, the USS Nevada — the lead battleship in her own class — did see brief service in the last few months of World War I, stationed off the coast of Ireland and tasked with protecting British convoy ships. She is most famous, however, for her role during the December 7, 1941, attack at Pearl Harbor in which she was the only U.S. capital ship to get underway. Unlike the other seven battleships present, the Nevada was not moored alongside another vessel off Ford Island and was therefore able to move. Despite facing heavy fire and being struck with a torpedo and as many as ten bombs, the ship — which destroyed at least four Japanese fighters in the process — made her way to Hospital Point where she was grounded to prevent being sunk.

This limited edition print depicts the USS Nevada in motion on that fateful day, with the burning hull of the USS Arizona featured in the background. Signed by eight crewmen of the iconic battleship! 20"x 9".
