About the AT-38B Talon

The AT-38B was an armed variant of the T-38 Talon used for Lead-In Fighter Training (LIFT), preparing student pilots for the weapons and tactics phase before they moved on to frontline fighter aircraft. The T-38 family, developed by Northrop in the late 1950s, was the first supersonic trainer aircraft and remains in U.S. Air Force service today.
