First used in the 1920s and '30s, the bay-window caboose became popular on many railroads as it eliminated the need for additional cupola clearances in tunnels and overpasses. A realistic replica of a bay-window caboose operating with the Union Pacific, this HO scale model features a finely cast body, a see-through roofwalk, a ladder, three different bay window styles, magnetically operated knuckle couplers, and metal wheels with added weight for smooth operation. Measures approximately 5¼" long.
