The P-39 was one of the principle fighters in the American fleet when the United States entered World War II. It was flown by numerous Allied militaries, though the Soviet Air Force had perhaps the most success, scoring the highest number of individual kills attributed to any U.S. fighter type. Nearly 10,000 units were manufactured and flown in numerous national militaries during and after the war.

This 1/72 scale, die cast commemorative model features textured surfaces, a glazed canopy, a detailed cockpit, authentic markings-Soviet Air Force's Alexander Pokryshkin and his Airacobra flown with the 16 GIAP in the U.S.S.R. in 1943-and a nameplate presentation stand. Measures approximately 5" long with a 5¾" wingspan.
