About the Bf 110
Alongside the Bf 109 and the Ju 87 Stuka, the Bf 110 Zerstorer was one of the symbols of the Luftwaffe in World War II. Powered by two Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines producing 1,200 hp each, it reached a maximum speed of 560 km/h and filled roles including interceptor, fighter-bomber, reconnaissance, anti-ship and night-fighter aircraft. The C and D versions, armed with two 20mm cannons and four 7.92mm machine guns plus a rear defensive gun, saw widespread deployment from the early stages of the war.
