The Boulton Paul Defiant, produced by the British company Boulton Paul Aircraft, was a night fighter and began service with the RAF in December 1939. 151 Squadron RAF entered World War II as a day-fighter squadron but then began piloting night-fighters, the Boulton Paul Defiant being one. It was only briefly employed with 151 Squadron in 1941.
