The EA-18G Growler is a carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft developed by Boeing for the United States Navy. Derived from the F/A-18F Super Hornet, it combines advanced avionics with powerful electronic attack capabilities. Introduced in the late 2000s, the Growler is powered by two General Electric F414 turbofan engines and can reach speeds approaching Mach 1.8. Its primary mission is to disrupt, deceive, or disable enemy radar and communication systems using the ALQ-218 receiver system and ALQ-99 or Next Generation Jammer pods.
