About the F-15 Eagle
The F-15 Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter developed by McDonnell Douglas in the early 1970s for air superiority. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan engines, it can exceed Mach 2.5 and carries advanced radar and a large weapons payload for engaging multiple targets at long range. Across its operators, the F-15 has been credited with over 100 aerial victories with no confirmed air-to-air losses, and variants such as the F-15E Strike Eagle add precision ground-attack capability.
