Nicknamed "Viper" by pilots who flew it, the F-16 was one of the most successful aircraft designs of the Cold War, with innovations that included a frameless bubble canopy for better visibility, a side-mounted control stick for greater control while maneuvering, and a relaxed static stability/fly-by-wire flight control system for a smoother flight at higher speeds.

This 1/72 scale, die cast Air Force 1 Model Company replica of a double-seat F-16D operated by the 62nd Fighter Squadron "Spike War Dawgs," 56th Fighter Wing, currently stationed at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, features engraved panel lines, a well-equipped cockpit with a glazed canopy and pilot figures, a realistic air intake and exhaust nozzle, fuel tanks and missiles, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and more. Measures 8¼" long with a 5¼" wingspan and arrives ready to display on the included metal stand.
