About the F-5F Tiger II

The F-5F is a twin-seat variant of the Northrop F-5E fighter, introduced in the 1970s for training, light attack and close-air-support roles, powered by a General Electric J85-GE-21 turbojet. VFC-111 "Sundowners," a U.S. Navy Reserve adversary squadron, flies the F-5F to provide dissimilar air combat training for fleet aircrews.
