About the F/A-18E Super Hornet
Developed by Boeing as an evolution of the original Hornet, the Super Hornet is a twin-engine, carrier-capable multirole fighter for the U.S. Navy with a larger airframe, increased range and greater payload capacity than its predecessor. Capable of a top speed of Mach 1.8, it carries out both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions from aircraft carriers.
