About the Book
Categorized under the German designation "Sonderkraftfahrzeug" (Sd.Kfz.), the Sd.Kfz. 221 entered series production in 1935 and formed the basis for the more heavily armed Sd.Kfz. 222 and the radio-equipped Sd.Kfz. 223. The Sd.Kfz. 260 and 261 were similar unarmed communications variants, while the Sd.Kfz. 247 command vehicle used a distinct chassis available in four- and six-wheel versions. The book includes detailed photographs and captions covering both the interior and exterior of each design.
