The Z-19, a powerful modern helicopter first introduced in 2012, is a twin-seat tandem attack aircraft currently in service for the People's Liberation Army Air Force in China. Fully outfitted with an impressive array of weapons, the Z-19 includes short-range air-to-air missiles, gun pods, rocket pods, and pod-mounted 23mm main automatic cannons as well as a HJ-8 wire-guided anti-tank guided missile. Capable of destroying tanks and other tough land-based targets, it also performs reconnaissance and scout missions.
