About the J-36

First observed during flight testing in December 2024, the aircraft informally known as the J-36 is a large, tailless, reportedly triple-engine design linked to China's next-generation air combat programs. "J-36" is an unofficial designation used by observers and media rather than a confirmed PLAAF type number, and there is no verified evidence to date of the aircraft entering operational service.
