One of the most popular commercial airliners ever built, the L-1049 "Super Connie" — developed in response to the successful Douglas DC-6 — was introduced in the early 1950s. It was the first commercial aircraft to feature a pressurized cabin, and, on its maiden flight, draped in TWA livery, it traveled cross country in less than seven hours.
Featuring both a Trans World Airlines livery and nameplate display stand, this 1/300 scale, die cast model replicates an L-1049 complete with rotating propellers and simulated cockpit and cabin windows. Measures approximately 4½" long with a 5" wingspan.
