NASCAR diecast collectors know Lionel Racing as the sport's official diecast licensee since 2011, producing officially licensed 1:64 and 1:24 scale replicas of current and historic race cars in exact paint schemes and sponsor liveries. The brand operates under the same corporate family as Lionel's model trains, applying that manufacturing history to motorsports collectibles instead.

About Lionel Racing

Lionel Racing has been NASCAR's officially licensed diecast manufacturer since 2011, when it took over from the previous licensee, Motorsports Authentics. Operating under the same corporate family as Lionel, the model train manufacturer, Lionel Racing produces scale replicas of NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series cars using tooling it calls the "EL mold," its current-generation body shell.

What Makes Lionel Racing Collectible

Every Lionel Racing release reproduces a specific driver, team, sponsor, and paint scheme exactly as it appeared on track, and the brand's Winner's Circle line goes a step further — replicating the actual damage, scuffs, and wear a car picked up in Victory Lane after a specific win, packaged with a collector card. That level of specificity makes each release tied to a real, documented moment in NASCAR history rather than a generic team-color reproduction.

Popular Lionel Racing Lines

Lionel Racing organizes its catalog into a few named formats:

NASCAR Authentics: Standard 1:64 scale current-season race car replicas.
NASCAR Classics: Historic cars and liveries from past NASCAR eras.
Winner's Circle: Race-worn, damage-replicated cars commemorating a specific victory, packaged with a collector card.
