During a scheduled eight-hour flight from L.A. to London, cabin lights begin to flicker and then go out shortly after takeoff. Soon after, a passenger is reported missing without a trace, and an air marshal tries to control the situation to assure the on-board passengers, but more travelers are disappearing.
