About the MiG-15bis

An upgraded version of the Soviet MiG-15, the MiG-15bis made its combat debut during the Korean War in the early 1950s. Powered by the Klimov VK-1 turbojet and armed with 23mm cannons, it was a formidable opponent for United Nations forces, particularly the American F-86 Sabre, and it remained in service with air forces worldwide for decades afterward.
