About the MiG-21 Fishbed
Developed by the Soviet Union in the 1950s, the MiG-21 became one of the most widely produced jet fighters in history. Its delta-wing design gave it strong maneuverability and speeds over Mach 2, and it served in air superiority, ground attack and reconnaissance roles with air forces worldwide, including combat over Vietnam, Afghanistan and the Arab-Israeli wars.
