America's first all-metal fighter, the P-26 Peashooter took its first flight in March of 1932. It officially entered service in late 1933 with production lasting through 1936; a total of 151 were manufactured. Twenty-two different American squadrons operated the aircraft with its peak service coming in 1936. By the time the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, the P-26 was all but obsolete — having been largely replaced by the P-36 Hawk — though there were approximately ten at Wheeler Field on December 7, with a few possibly becoming airborne (though inflicting little if any damage).

This 1/63 scale, die cast model — a replica of a P-26 with a green paint scheme and yellow accents — features a rotating propeller, a detailed radial engine front, an open-style cockpit, authentic USAAF markings, and a display stand. Measures approximately 4½" long with a 5¼" wingspan.
