An all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft, the P-40 Warhawk was first seen in October of 1938. Only the P-51 Mustang and the P-47 Thunderbolt saw a greater production run and the P-40 remained on front line service with nearly every Allied military through the end of World War II. It was also a popular aircraft in China, first with the American pilots of the Flying Tigers and then with the Chinese themselves following the AVG disbandment.

Made by Hobby Master, this 1/72 scale, die cast model — a replica of a P-40N serving with the 89th Fighter Squadron in 1944 — features that warbird's signature skull nose art, engraved panel lines, a rotating propeller, a glazed opening canopy, a well-equipped cockpit (with panel instrumentation and a removable pilot figure), full weapons complement, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures approximately 5½" long with a 6¼" wingspan.
