The P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the largest fighters in history, first introduced in 1942. With more than 15,000 units manufactured, it was readily available to numerous Allied nations and was flown by the U.S., U.K., France, and Russia, in addition to various militaries after World War II. The "D" variant was the most popular model, featuring an evolution of upgrades over the years that saw a total of more than 12,000 ultimately built.

This 1/100 scale, die cast model model — a replica of the "Kansas Tornado II" flown by Capt. Howard Curran of the 510th Fighter Squadron — features engraved panel lines, a rotating propeller, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, authentic markings, fixed landing gear, and a display stand. Measures approximately 4½" long with a 5" wingspan.
