The first jet fighter used by the USAAF, the P-80 Shooting Star was introduced in 1945, though it was not ready in time for combat service during World War II. It saw extensive service during the Korean War and is considered a historically influential aircraft for helping usher America into the "jet age."

Hand-crafted from the finest Philippine mahogany, this 1/32 scale display model — a replica of a P-80A serving with the 94th "Hat in the Ring" Fighter Squadron — features the aircraft's signature "high visibility" red wings, a simulated glazed canopy, authentic markings, and a commemorative nameplate display stand. Measures approximately 14¾" long with a 17¾" wingspan.
