About Operation Sun Run
On November 27, 1957, RF-101C Voodoos of the 363rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing's 17th and 18th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadrons flew coast-to-coast in a coordinated effort that set new transcontinental speed records, including a Los Angeles-to-New York run of 3 hours, 7 minutes.
