Doyle The Sturmgeschütz, or StuG, as it is more commonly known, was deemed a self-propelled, infantry support artillery. It eventually became the backbone of Germany's anti-tank operations during WWII. Providing more than 135 war-era photos, this volume examines the design, production, and deployment of the first six (of nine variants) of this feared weapon. This book is organized in four chapters, each focusing on a specific production model, or Ausführung, of the Sturmgeschütz.

This volume examines the most plentiful model, the later war Ausf.G, as well as the Sturmgeschütz IV, and the similar, howitzer-armed Sturmhaubitze. Comprehensive tables explore the details of performance, as well as technical specifications of each variant. 128 pages, 132 B&W, 9"x 9", hardcover.
