About the A7V
Roughly 20 A7Vs were built, appearing on the battlefield in the final year of the war and marking Germany's first entry into armored vehicle design. Each carried a crew of around 18, along with a 5.7cm Maxim-Nordenfelt cannon and six MG08 machine guns, and despite persistent mechanical problems, the type has held a lasting place in the history of armored warfare.
