Stan Stokes. The jet-powered Me 262 fighter was fast and could easily outrun Allied fighters. Unfortunately from the German perspective, it arrived on the scene too late and in too few numbers to impact the outcome of the war. Here we see it attacking a late-model B-24 in 1945.
