About USS New Jersey (BB-62)

Commissioned in 1943, the New Jersey served in World War II, including the campaigns for Iwo Jima and Okinawa, and was later recommissioned for service in the Korean War, Vietnam War and, in the 1980s, off Lebanon. Armed with 16-inch guns, it was decommissioned for the final time in 1991 and is preserved today as a museum ship in Camden, New Jersey.
