About the XFY Pogo
Designed to take off and land vertically balanced on its tail, the XFY Pogo used contra-rotating propellers driven by a turboprop engine, eliminating the need for a runway or aircraft carrier deck, and could transition to horizontal flight in the air. Landing proved extremely difficult, since pilots had to look back over their shoulders during the vertical descent, and the program was ultimately canceled in favor of advancing jet technology despite successful test flights.

Convair XFY1 kit
Pretty much as expected from a redone Lindbergh kit. In general, fit is very good, not much detail in cockpit or exhaust, prop assembly is a bit weak. But easy to build, neat subject and good decals.
