First flown in 1940, the B-26 Marauder was designed to meet the USAAC need for a high speed, medium bomber. Used in the Pacific, Western European and Mediterranean Theaters, the B-26 eventually became the primary bomber on the Western Front. This 1/107 scale, die cast replica of the B-26 features markings for USAAF 322nd BG, 449th BS, "Flak Bait," RAF Andrews Field, England, 1943. "Flak Bait" survived 207 operational missions over Europe, more than any other American aircraft during WWII. This replica features realistic surface details and panel lines, authentic markings and ordnance loads, and includes a display stand. 8" wingspan.
