About the F-16 and adversary training

The F-16 is a single-engine, fly-by-wire multirole fighter developed by General Dynamics and introduced in the late 1970s, capable of speeds over Mach 2. The 706th Aggressor Squadron, an Air Force Reserve unit of the 926th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, was redesignated from a fighter squadron in May 2023 and flies specially painted F-16s to replicate the tactics and visual signatures of potential adversary aircraft during training exercises.
