About the F-22 Raptor
Developed by Lockheed Martin for the U.S. Air Force, the F-22 combines stealth shaping and radar-absorbent materials with sensor fusion that draws on onboard and external data sources. Two Pratt & Whitney F119 engines with thrust-vectoring nozzles give it sustained supersonic flight without afterburners, and it carries air-to-air missiles, precision-guided munitions and a 20mm cannon for both air-dominance and limited ground-attack missions.
