The Italian World War II fighter aircraft, the Aermacchi Veltro C.205 was produced by the Italian company Aeonautica Macchi. Even though it entered service later on, having been produced between 1942 and 1944, it was both respected and feared by Allied pilots. Sergente Maggiore Luigi Gorrini, an Italian fighter ace, served during WWII.
