About the RF-4B and VMFP-3
An unarmed reconnaissance variant of the F-4 Phantom II built for the U.S. Marine Corps, the RF-4B carried cameras and sensors in place of weapons and radar. VMFP-3, nicknamed the "Eyes of the Corps," was the Marine Corps' sole RF-4B squadron and flew the type from MCAS El Toro until the aircraft's retirement from Marine Corps service in 1990.
